With Liquid Families, Nicole Seiler explores the voice as a
choreographic element with a chorus of professional performers
and amateurs. In the process, the spatial sculpture
combines with the performative and vocal score
of the piece and sets in motion a constantly changing,
seemingly infinite transformation.
Liquid Families is to be understood as a process,
as a ritual that is formed through the
temporary community of performers.
The audience is invited into this temporary community,
interacting with the spatial installation and the choreography,
consisting of gestures, voice and improvisation,
and to dwell in it.

Balancing on the fine line between music and theater, BOT captivates its audience with straightforward performance, homemade musical contraptions, raw visual poetry and fragile, warm-hearted songs - a visual and musical adventure. In times when many certainties suddenly become relative, BOT shows "KLAP/CRASH." Where we have all been moving at an ever-increasing speed, all at once everything comes to a halt. Nothing is the way it was. Not us, not you, not anything. Somewhere a stick got between the spokes. Where are we? What was that again? Is anyone there? BOT captures the despair and the big questions it raises in theatrical machinery, catchy compositions and powerful, delicate imagery. Where do we go from here? Do we set a new course? And who are we really now? BOT enchanted the BAFF! with their performance «Ramkoers» already in 2017.

"Nesting, dwelling, nesting" - where dreams like to hole up
Nests and huts grow up. From a wide view of a new world,

And these are hung in a kind of floating landscape and

The heart of his flying machine: a lawn chair.

«Nouveau Fuck» – a hyperfeminist puppetry performance
that radically creates space. Based on Stella Bergsma's
manifesto of the same name, Cat Smits and
Meike van den Akker welcome the audience into a new world.
Playing along: a plush vulva, a Barbie-like doll
without a mouth, several partially, fully and not at all
masked people, a few body parts, anger, shame,
silence and blood. It's about the life as a woman.
A subject so crammed with roles and patterns that
it just cries out for characters and masks.

«Coffee with sugar?» Is a production between material performance, biographical and contemporary documentary theatre. The two materials coffee and sugar determine the stage in their various aggregate states. Starting from them, German immigration stories in Central America and their colonial continuities are negotiated. The performer Laia RiCa grew up in El Salvador and Germany. She brings this biographical experience into the piece: The struggle with two worlds, the constant suspicion of betrayal of «roots» and the questioning of feelings of inferiority and superiority. From coffee beans and candy floss, from biographical material and historical sources, from video fragments and live music, a visually powerful, content-dense and sensual production emerges.

Mireille Broilliard is a singer. Rémi Verbraeken is a cartoonist. Together they invent a story without morals. A story that starts from a cassette of an answering machine found in a trash can. It is brought to life by Rémi's animated films and puppets. Whimsical tongues appear and the characters move as if out of their minds to the compositions of Mireille Broilliard. A show that combines a cinema screening with live music and immerses you in abstract stage worlds.

A school class from Frenkendorf (BL) has developed an exciting animal play as part of a project. The specially created puppet figures are embodied by a small group of gorillas and show a possible form of coexistence between puppet and human. Will this work out well? The performance playfully approaches this question.
