in theatrical machinery, catchy compositions and powerful, 
delicate imagery. Where do we go from here? 
Do we set a new course? And who are we really now?

Nests and huts grow up. From a wide view of a new world, 
they invite you to dream. 
And down on the ground, everyone is allowed to create his 
or her own little dream world. A nest, a dwelling, an island. 
And these are hung in a kind of floating landscape and 
connected with all the others.

«Nouveau Fuck» – a hyperfeminist puppetry performance 
that radically creates space. Based on Stella Bergsma's 
manifesto of the same name, Cat Smits and 
Meike van den Akker welcome the audience into a new world. 

Playing along: a plush vulva, a Barbie-like doll 
without a mouth, several partially, fully and not at all 
masked people, a few body parts, anger, shame, 
silence and blood. It's about the life as a woman. 
A subject so crammed with roles and patterns that 
it just cries out for characters and masks.

A school class from Frenkendorf (BL) has developed 
an exciting animal play as part of a project. 
The specially created puppet figures are embodied 
by a small group of gorillas and show a possible form 
of coexistence between puppet and human. 
Will this work out well? The performance playfully 
approaches this question.

«Coffee with sugar?» Is a production between 
material performance, biographical and contemporary 
documentary theatre. The two materials coffee and sugar 
determine the stage in their various aggregate states. 
Starting from them, German immigration stories in 
Central America and their colonial continuities 
are negotiated. The performer Laia RiCa grew up 
in El Salvador and Germany. She brings this biographical 
experience into the piece: The struggle with two worlds, 
the constant suspicion of betrayal of «roots» and 
the questioning of feelings of inferiority and superiority. 
From coffee beans and candy floss, from biographical material 
and historical sources, from video fragments and live music, 
a visually powerful, content-dense and sensual production emerges.
